Canoe Trainings

We offer two different canoe trainings. Participants who take both the Introductory and Instructor courses can qualify for a price discount (see below).

Introduction to Canoeing

Purpose: To learn or review basic canoe strokes before moving into the instructor level course (see below).

Prerequisites:

• Minimum Age 17
• All Aquatic School Program prerequisites apply

Canoe Instructor

Purpose: To certify an individual to teach the American Canoe Association curriculum and gain knowledge of canoe safety.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum Age 18 for ACA Instructor requirements
• All Aquatic School Program prerequisites apply
• Canoe experience or Introduction Course strongly recommended.

Certifications: American Canoe Association Instructor Certification and American Red Cross Small Craft Safety
