Waterfront Lifeguard Challenge

Dates: Tuesday June 17th 9 AM - Wednesday June 18th 12 PM

Cost: $125

Purpose: This course is for current lifeguards to update their certification to the new American Red Cross Lifeguarding material that was released January 2007. Participants will need to prove their practical skills and written knowledge for a 3 year re-certification. Includes CPR-pr Challenge, AED and First Aid.

Prerequisites:

• Minimum age of 15
• All Aquatic School Program prerequisites apply
• Current LGT certification.
• Students are expected to have reviewed course material and be ready for the swimming pre-test, practical skills and written tests. The textbook will be mailed at registration time whenever possible.

Certification: American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Training and First Aid (3 years); CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (1 year).

Please understand that all ARC Challenge Courses assume that the participant has reviewed course materials and is ready to take both practical and written tests. Presentation of the new lifeguarding material will be included in this course. Retesting is not allowed by American Red Cross. If the challenge is not successful, the participant needs take the full Waterfront Lifeguarding course. Come prepared!
